Overview

DA1 aims at empowering you with tech-enabled skills necessary for keeping research results relevant and shaping decision making. You can complete the tutorials at your own pace. 

The training is powered by THE CALL Info and delivered on its e-learning platform THE CALL eAcademy. It is presented in collaboration with

• Islamic University College, Ghana and
• University General Lansana Conte of Sonfonia, Guinea

 

Target Audience

The training targets participants with time constraints or busy schedules. This includes

• Faculty members
• Research scholars 
• Students (postgraduate and undergraduate)
• Decision Makers

Topics

DA1 focuses on the following topics:

• Checking integrity of t-test sample  data
• Performing one-sample t-test
• Performing independent-amples t-test
• Performing dependent-samples t-test 
• Reporting t-test results  in APA format

Duration

Each lesson is self-paced and lasts not more than 120 minutes. The training comprises 6 lessons and 2 quizzes. 

 

Requirements

The minimum requirements for the training are:

• access to a personal computer or a similar device with internet connectivity.
• knowledge and skills in operating a personal computer or a similar device.
• light experience in the use of SPSS, especially areas that cover descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation, bivariate statistics
• strong desire to work quicker, smarter and safer in research data analysis.

Certification

THE CALL Info (THE CALL eAcademy) does not award academic credit or industry certification when you complete a course. However, a certificate of completion/participation is awarded – upon request – only to participants who have successfully submitted all required assignments and quizzes.

Fees and Mode of Payment s

1. The online data analysis is FREE  However, participants are required to pay a user fee of GHC200 or US$30 (foreign participant).

2. Use any money wallet to transfer payments  to THE CALL Info.

3. Foreign users may use any convenient payment gateway (Paystack, RIA, WorldRemit, etc) to make payments to THE CALL Info.
